Charles G. Atkins
Mr. Atkins' area of concentration is litigation with particular emphasis in corporate, statutory and commercial litigation matters: Federal False Claims Actions (whistle blower); Federal Employers' Liability; environmental law regulations; compliance and prosecution; antitrust actions; and the prosecution or defense of claims dealing with medical and legal malpractice. Mr. Atkins additional trial experience focuses on real estate, including appropriation issues.
He was admitted to practice in 1962. Mr. Atkins is a member of the bar of the Supreme Court of Ohio, the Supreme Court of Kentucky, the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the Eleventh Circuit and the bars of the United States District Courts in Ohio and Kentucky. He is a Master of the Bench of the Potter Stewart Inn of Court for the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio. Mr. Atkins is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Arts and Sciences (B.A., 1959) and the University of Cincinnati College of Law (J.D., 1962); he is Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, for more than two decades as well as lecturer on evidence to the Ohio Judicial College.
